Yaba College of Technology - Alumni

Yaba College of Technology Alumni (YCTA) is the official alumni organisation of the College. All who have engaged in academic work or study in the College, or who have administrative association with the college, are automatically part of the college Alumni. Membership requires no subscription.

The YCTA encourages close relations between its members and the college, and so has world-wide network of all past students who have in recent times made their marks in all spheres of life.

Yaba College of Technology Alumni in Action

A former student of the Department of Industrial Design of the College donated electronic equipment worth several thousands of naira to the College. The equipment includes a set of computer systems, CD writer, Design boards, Electronic pen, 20' Television set, CD player, software programs in fashion and printing machines.

At a formal presentation of the equipment, the Rector, Olubunmi Owoso, expressed the College's appreciation to the donor and implored the College Alumni (as well parents, individual philanthropists and corporate bodies) to keep up such gesture.

Alumni Project
IT Resource Centre and construction of a four-floor Multipurpose Hall

THE ALUMNI AS A PARTNER
Its present focus is to raise fund to support the Colleges' effort in constructing and equipping an IT Resource Centre and construction of a four-floor Multipurpose Hall.

The Alumni Association are of the opinion that a dedicated Computer Study Centre together with the main Central Computer Laboratory will make the Colleges' Students in getting more involved in Information Technology. Each Department in the College will also have access to computers and internet services. The project; on completion, will comprise an Information/Research Centre, Recreation Facilities, plus others.
