MIS GETS A NEW NAME

The MIS unit was formerly designed to capture, store and process information for management use.

The unit’s activities have now expanded to include:

• Development and management of the new college portal.
• Managing the college IT Resources.
• Maintenance and repair of the computing systems.
• Managing the College Local Area Network (LAN), Intranet and Internet Access.
• Giving technical advice on computers and computer related acquisition.
• Software Development.

Due to this expansion, the approval for a new name was considered and approved by the college Management.
MIS is now called “Centre for Information Technology and Management (CITM)” with effect from January 18, 2010.
