Yabatech is home to over 16,400
students. The College is located in a city called Yaba which is one of the ancient cities in Lagos, Nigeria.
It
boasts of beautiful and historical architectural sites alongside
main high streets, stores, eateries, Cyber Cafes and
restaurants.
The city is also very close to the Island
hence you can take short
walks to view beautiful riverside scenes. The
oldest Beach; The Lagos Bar Beach, is also not too far from the
College and is a good relaxation spot.
Accommodation
The College provides Halls of Residence for both male and
female students. Male students have an option out of three halls,
which are;

Augustus Aikhomu Hall (Complex Hall)
° Moshood Abiola Hall
(Hollywood Hall)
° New Hall (Bakkassi).
The
Female Hostel; on the other hand, has
four blocks containing twin 3-storey building housing facility
with several
rooms.
Sports
The College has a mini Stadium
that caters for sporting events like Football, Basket Ball, Lawn
Tennis, Judo and Martial art.
Societies
The College requires that
students who wish to form a Society or Club should apply for
registration through the Dean, Students Affairs. Details of the
proposed name of the Society/Club, its Officers and Constitution
must be furnished and sent along with the application.
No Association is allowed
to operate until approval is granted by the College, the following

Student Unionism
In order to ensure that students participate actively in
the polity of the College, an approved constitution guides the
existence of students' union activities.
EXTRACT OF THE CONSTITUTION
1. Membership
Membership of the Union and
participation in all Union activities shall be voluntary, and open
to all bonafide students of the College. It shall have the
following categories:
Ordinary
Membership: All students running Full time and Part time
courses.
Associate Membership: All other students undergoing courses
of not less than 3 months.
Honourary Membership: It is conferred by the House on any
deserving Alumnus who has shown positive interest in the Union's
Affairs.
Life Membership: It is conferred by the House on any
outgoing ordinary member who renders distinguished services to the
Union.
