1960/61, a stenography course was introduced in the Department of
Commerce. The course prepared students for the Royal Society of Arts
(RSA) examinations. In the 1967 – 1968 school year, a two-year full time
course commenced in Office Arts with a pre-requisite of West Africa
School Certificate and at least a Pass in English. That same year, a
Personal Secretary’s Course was offered at the Advanced Level.
two-year Diploma course in Secretarial Studies commenced during the
1970/1971 session; and in 1977/78 session, the Higher National Diploma
course was introduced. The Higher National Diploma became a two-year
programme in 1986/87 session. Bilingual Secretarial Studies programme
(French Option) was introduced in 1992/1993 session. The Secretarial
Studies Department was changed to Office Technology and Management in
2008/2009 session. Office Technology and Management is offered in both
Full Time and Part Time Programmes.
