The Department of Marketing had its root from the Department of Business Administration and became autonomy in 2005. At present, the Department runs only Higher National Diploma (HND) program and intakes are ND holders of Business Administration, Purchasing and Supply, cooperative Studies. The first set of graduate was recorded, while full status accreditation was obtained from the regulating body National Board for Technical Education (NBTE) for five year duration.
Approval for Part Time (PT) programme had since been obtained and it is billed to commence in the 2010/2011 part time academic session. Similarly, the recent nod of the NBTE for the re-introduction of National Diploma programme is receiving serious attention. The journey so far has been fruitful as the Department has turned out four separate set of HND (Marketing) graduates.
These cover 2004/2005, 2006/2007, 2007/2008 and 2008/2009 sessions. Presently, the enrolment of our HNDI and HNDII students are 64 and 77 respectively. OBJECTIVES In line with the college mission, the major objective of Department of Marketing is to produce academic and professional marketers who will become prime movers of Nigerian economy.
