DEPARTMENT OF LEISURE AND TOURISM
History of LTM Department
The department was established in 2005, initially under the Department of Hospitality and Management. The programme went through the first resource inspection and first accreditation in 2007 and passed both. The programme graduated more than four sets; while under the Department of Hospitality and Management.
Early in 2013, the Department of Leisure and Tourism was carved out from the Department of Hospitality and Management. That same year, the College council mandated the movement of the department to Epe Campus, since the main campus did not have sufficient land to accommodate the required facilities. On the 13th of December, 2013; the department relocated to Epe.
The department has undergone a successful re-accreditation. In June, 2019; the department passed resource inspection for the HND and students have been admitted for the 2019/2020 session. Past and current Heads of Department are stated below:

A high proportion of the lecturers and technologists are specialists in both Leisure and Tourism; and Hospitality Management courses. Graduates of the department are in high demand in the Tourism Sector, based on their performance in the industry.
