ABOUT THE PROGRAMME

 The External Degree Affiliation program of the Federal University Oye-Ekiti, is a well-designed Programme for the Higher National Diploma (HND) Degree holders of the Polytechnics and Graduates of Nigerian Universities with Third Class or Pass Division, in order to actualize their dream with respect to education.

External Degree Affiliation program  with Bachelor Degree in the Faculty of Agriculture (B. Agric), Faculty of Engineering (B. Eng,) and Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) in the Faculty of Science, Management Sciences and Faculty of Social Sciences, These programmes are designed to equip prospective students with knowledge and skills; provide an understanding of the major theories, theme and practices of related studies; equip students with a practical understanding of the contemporary issues in their respective studies globally

ADMISSION REQUIREMENT

Candidates must satisfy the following admission requirements:

Applicants must possess a minimum of five (5) O’Level subjects at credit level in relevant subjects in not more than two (2) sittings in the subjects relevant to their proposed programme. English Language and Mathematics at credit level are compulsory for all candidates. Minimum of Third Class or Pass Division or HND certificate from a recognized institution is required for the programme. Completion or exemption from the mandatory National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) Scheme

OBJECTIVES OF THE PROGRAMME.

The Objectives of the FUOYE  External (Degree and HND Conversion) Programme are to:

•    Provide suitable academic programmes that would facilitate conversion from HND to University Degree Certification.

•    Make available contents and Instructions that would upgrade the quality of University Degrees from Third Class and/or Pass division

•    Open up postgraduate study options and help with career progression or career change

•    Help to build fundamental skills and knowledge, which is specific to the market.

DURATION OF PROGRAMME

•    Six (6) semesters of three (3) academic sessions for the Faculties of Agriculture and Engineering while Four (4) semesters of two (2) academic sessions for the Faculties of Management Sciences, Science and Social Sciences.

LECTURE/CONTACT PERIOD

Lectures shall take place on Weekend (Saturdays and Sundays)
