Adewale Abdulateef Bequeaths Jersey And Balls To Yabatech

Adewale Abdulateef Seriki, an alumnus of Yaba College of Technology (Yabatech), donated a set of football jersey and two balls to his alma-mater, as part of his own contribution to the development of sport in the College.

Adewale who studied Business Administration and graduated in 1994; was a prolific striker of Yabatech football team, said that he got necessary exposure and tremendous development in his football career while he was in Yabatech squad.

He noted that the donation was part of his little contribution to the expansion of sport in the College, as a way of appreciating the institution and to encourage the upcoming students who are nursing the ambition of becoming professional footballers, that it is possible to combine education and sport together.

The donator who was accompanied by his wife has taken his football career to a climax; he is currently a Head Coach of Arsenal Soccer Schools in India.

The Rector of the College, Engr. Obafemi Omokungbe while receiving the gift, thanked Adewale, and charged other alumni of the College to emulate him by giving back to the institution.

The Head Coach of Yabatech football team, Mr. Frederick Yamala also used the opportunity to present to the Rector a trophy won by the football team when they played against Lagos State Polytechnic (LASPOTECH) football team as part of the activity to mark LASPOTECH 40 Years Anniversary, YABATECH won via penalty shoot-out.
